WORD PLAY

Self-righteouness - a feeling of smug moral superiority derived from a sense that one's beliefs, actions, or affiliations are of greater virtue than those of the average person

Hubris - overbearing pride or presumption

For some reason, these two words have been tumbling around in my mind today.

Edit: some more words spinning around my brain -

Irony (verbal) - disparity of expression and intention: when a speaker says one thing but means another

Irony (situational) - disparity of intention and result: when the result of an action is contrary to the desired or expected effect

Hypocrisy
- the act of pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities or standards that one does not actually have. Hypocrisy typically comes from a desire to mask actual motives or feelings, or from a person's inability to conform to standards they espouse.

Maybe my subconscious is trying to tell me something.

Edit: I think my subconscious is definitely yelling at me to get it.

I think I get the message.

Edit: Yes, I got it.
